  • Hey Sharks! Get into the holiday spirit and come watch “The Polar Express” after school in the Cafeteria today!  Admission is free and concessions will be sold at the event.  Hope to see you there!!

     

  • Music club will meet today after school from 2:30-3:30 in room 305.

     

  • The 8th grade boys basketball team won against Hanshaw in the first round of the Cesar Chavez basketball tournament on Wednesday.  Tonight they will play against La Loma in the semifinal game at 7:15.  If they win tonight, they will play at 3:15 pm on Saturday for the championship game.

  • Attention 1st period classes: This is the final week of the Canned Food Drive!  Remember- the 1st period class with the most cans by Friday wins donuts! 

     

  • 7th grade boys basketball tryout are today after school from 2:30-4:00.  You have to attend all days of tryouts.  Go to the BK Athletic classroom and sign up.  A sports physical clearance is required before trying out.

  • Do like to sing?  Do you like to dance? Want to be a part of BK’s very first MUSICAL?  Dance and Drama have joined forces and will be hosting an audition clinic for singers and dancers for our upcoming musical HONK – the story of the Ugly Duckling.  The clinic days will be today, Thursday, and Friday from 2:30 to 3:30 in Mrs. Wade’s room 1002.  You will be taught a song and a dance today and Thursday.  On Friday you will try out for the musical, Honk.  Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes that you can dance in freely. Again, the clinics will be held today, Thursday and Friday from 2:30 to 3:30 in room 1002.  You must attend all three to be considered.

  • Women from Soroptimist will be on campus after school today to lead a cookie decorating. If you did not RSVP yesterday please do so today during nutrition. Reminder slips will go out to.

     

  • Attention Shark Artists, The Shark artist club activity planned for today has been canceled and rescheduled for Wednesday December 19th. See you then!

 

  • BK’s Music department is hosting their annual winter concert tonight at 6:30pm in the gym. Cost is $2//person and $4/family. Come enjoy a great concert and support your fellow sharks!
