Our last school dance of the year is next Friday April 5th!!  The theme for our last dance is BOARDWALK. We will have a DJ, dancing, concessions… PLUS FREE games/prizes AND the Rita’s Italian Ice truck will be here selling treats! You don’t want to miss this! Tickets go on sale next week!   • This is Mr. V speaking.Today is Autism Awareness Day and I wanted to tell you about autism. Autism is a developmental disorder that varies in severity. It is characterized by difficulty in social interaction and communication, and by restricted or repetitive patterns of thought and behavior.For those of you who don’t know, I have a 17 year old brother who has autism. My brother is on the cross country team, wrestling team, and on the track and field team at Central Valley High School. My brother is also a former BK Shark. He was very involved in the school’s activities here at Blaker Kinser, including ASB. Thank you for supporting Autism Awareness Day and for treating ALL students with kindness and respect.

    • Eat a good nutritious breakfast the morning of each testing day, such as milk with cereal, eggs, and fruits, but no Hot Cheetos or candy!
    • Avoid the morning rush. Set out clothes the night before. Get to school a few minutes earlier than you usually do.
    • And PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHROMEBOOK IS FULLY CHARGED!!
